Carabiners
Carabiners use a hinged gate that opens inwards, unlike the spring gate on a snap hook. This makes them a versatile and easy-to-use fastener for connecting ropes, leads and straps in a wide range of applications. Suitable for ropes up to 10mm in diameter. Not suitable for climbing.
How a carabiner works
Push the hinged gate inwards to open the carabiner, attach it to your rope or strap, then release to close. The hinged gate locks back into position automatically, keeping the connection secure during use.

Carabiners are a practical fastener for attaching a dog leash to a collar, connecting components in construction or rigging, securing gear during outdoor activities and holidays, and general strap and rope projects.
